obd scanner not communicating with my 2000 cavalier . checked all fuses and none were blown.

heard the cig lighter fuse will do this but none were blown

if there is no power to the reader, than yes, the fuse may be blown. if the reader lights up, then there is another issue with the pcm.

Check the fuses that are labeled auxiliary power
