Is getting the accelerator cable fixed an "emergency" repair, or can it wait a few weeks? My mechanic said the pedal seemed a little stiff and recommended the repair, although he didn't give a time frame. Thanks for all your help!

If its stiff it could end up sticking thats what i would fear.
