2.2 liter chevy calavier

2.2 liter chevy cavalier runs normal at 180 temp in town driving when get to 50 mph adn up it drops to 100 temp then heater get colder. Tried changing radiator cap and 2 new thermostat. Did not resolve issue.

Do you live in extremely cold region? Does the radiator fan run? That shouldn't turn on till around 220 degrees, or ac on, an extended idle may also cause it to come on.

Those temps don't like normal engine temp, to me?

Just to add, do the heater hoses ever get hot?
