Why is my fuel gauge not working? I have a 2000 blazer and the fuel gauge is not working. The fuel gauge was working perfect until I had a friend change my fuel pump. The needle now sits on E when the engine is running and goes to halfway when the engine is shut off. The gauge do the same exact thing no matter how much fuel I put in the tank. All of my other gauges are working perfect.

Do that mean I have to get a new fuel pump or do the sending unit come without the fuel pump?
