without warning and having no past problems or doing any repairs the brakes when completely out and still had brake fluid in the reservoir. What should I do? Thanks Mike

With no other details, I have to assume the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. If that is correct, and you're not losing brake fluid from the reservoir, suspect internal leakage in the master cylinder. They can be rebuilt, but the kit usually costs more than a professionally-rebuilt master cylinder with a warranty.
