I have an astro with a p 420 catylitic converter low effitiency

while driving engine slightly hasitates seems to indicate missfire

cat has failed most likely from a missfire you have. the unburned fuel is what kills the converter.
i suggest you resolve the missfires and you will still most likely have to replace the cat as well.
