The trim is loose on my vinyl roof. How can I replace it and make sure it stays stable.

Since the vinyl roof was a dealer installed item, there is no published procedure for servicing it. It is more or less a do what you need to get by, type of repair. If it comes down to using adhesives, the stronger-the better. The cloth roof itself is usually adhered to the body with urethane sealer, and you will not get it off without damage.

You may have a broken clip. These are quite tricky to remove and replace without breaking. You also normally have to pull the whole trim piece off and slide the old clip out and the new clip in. The clips can usually be purchased at chain parts stores.
