alternator troubleshooting

I have a 2000 cadillac dts that will not charge i have replaced the alternator and it is still not charging.I check the volts going to the alternator,the orange wire has 12 volts on it.The red wire has 5 volts.The grey wire has 2 volts on it.

red wire is from the battery 12v,the other connector goes the voltage regulater.you my have a bad rebuild.your battery could be bad and not takeing a charge.is the charging system light on?when you turn the key on do you see the charge light on?
