2000 Cadillac Deville Temperature On Car Driving Hot Leak Replaced Thermostat

Temperature on car when driving is hot no leak replaced thermostat because heat wasnt getting warm, water pump is good, no water in the oil, water from radiator is brown dirty color. Should I have radiator flushed or buy new one? Also service engine soon light is on

Start with figuring out why the check engine light is on. Second, flush the coolant system. Is the engine boiling over? If so, check the cooling fan, if it isnt that look into a possible headgasket issue.
