Yesterday morning the car felt like it was missing at a steady speed of 30 mph to 50 mph. when you acccerated and transmission downshifted, it would stop. You can feel it when cruising at a steady speed. After approximately 90 miles, the service engine lifgt came on. Took the car to dealer and they say it is a selenoid switch ans have to pull the transmission. May find other problems once they pull transmission. Have never had a problem with trans before. $1548 to start.

I agree with the dealer. it could be the solenoid or it could be the converter. if the converter is bad, an overhaul will be the next step.
