not shutting off

i have a 2000 cadillac catera, that will not shut off. i got a new ignition i have been shutting it off by taking out rely under hood. what do i need repaired?

At the ignition switch wireharness, tst the Brown wire for battery voltage after turning ignition switch to OFF. If battery voltage is present, the switch is not turning off correctly.

You mentioned a new ignition, do you mean the lock (key) cylinder or the ignition switch assy?
