2000 Buick Regal engine noise

Just got the car a week ago. It didn't make this noise, now it does. At ignition its a whine/whir sound and it gets louder as I accelerate. Someone told me it could be the belt tensioner or alternator whine.?

spray water on belt if sound goes away replace belt and tensioner.

check the power steering fluid level also.... its possible it maybe low, or have air in the system... let us know what you find.
