The symptoms you described in your 2000 Buick Park Avenue, such as rough idling, stalling, backfiring, and intermittent running issues, can be caused by various factors. Diagnosing the exact problem can be a bit complex without further information or a physical inspection. However, there are several common issues that might be worth investigating:

Please go over this guide to help us fix the problem:

Fuel System Issues: Problems with the fuel system can cause rough idling and stalling. Check the fuel filter, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator for potential clogs or failures.

Ignition System Problems: A faulty ignition system can lead to misfires and backfiring. Inspect the spark plugs, ignition coils, ignition module, and spark plug wires.

Air Intake System: A clogged air filter or issues with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor can affect the air-fuel mixture, causing rough running and stalling.

Vacuum Leaks: Check for vacuum leaks in hoses and connections, as these can lead to rough idling and performance issues.

Throttle Body and Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve: Dirty or malfunctioning throttle body or IAC valve can disrupt the engine's idle control.

Exhaust System: A restricted or damaged exhaust system may cause backfiring and poor engine performance.

Engine Sensors: Malfunctioning engine sensors, such as the oxygen sensor or crankshaft position sensor, can lead to various engine issues.

Electrical Issues: Check for loose or corroded electrical connections that might affect the engine's operation.
