when I engage the cruise control, It will not shut off. I turn the CC off, I apply the brake - does not disengage. In testing it, I have shifted to neutral, engine contines to rev at high speed. I have briefly turned the engine off and then back on - still will not release. I've replace the CC module, I've remove the mats so that nothing is interferring with the pedal. Acceleration/deceleration works fine without the CC on. I've temporarily disconnected/unplugged the module for safety. Really scary trying to get the car stopped without blowing engine and overheating the brakes.
