The low beam high voltage headlight on the driver side goes turns off sporadically. I have to turn the car off so it will come back on. Its connected properly and has a brand new bulb. Any clue as to what i might need to look at or replace to rectify this problem?

The general module controls the lights on that model, it might need replacement and then it will also need to be coded to the car. It isn't something you could do yourself unless you have specialized scan tools and my recommendation is to seek out your friendly BMW service provider.
