what kind of screws are holding the final stage unit in place? 2000 BMW 528i. Are they torque,alanhead,hex-type?

I can't tell even with a magnifying glass. Your info that a tab or ear holds the peice was helpful, but it is obviously held in with some type of fastner in a diagonal fashion.

Thanks again,

E39 might have a T25 Torx fastener holding them in, but the factory did not install it, although there is a place for one. Sometimes a bit of force is needed, I usually leave the wiring harness connected, pry the tab over, and YANK on the wiring, and out she comes.
