BMW 323i

The lock is not working or the key is not working?

The key won't unlock the door. It seems as if something inside of it is broke. I can turn the key both ways. I can't figure out how to take it apart to get to it.

The remote wont open the door?

Unfortunetely I don't have a remote!! How do I go about getting one that is for my make and model?

The remote is in the key fob, unless you are using the valet key. The acquisition of a replacement key fob/remote is done through the BMW dealership network, is that possible? Until then, you need to get into the car, right? And the key is inoperative at this time. Have you tried access from the trunk, actually putting the key in the trunk lock and turning it to see if the central locking open the doors?

I have gotten in the car by a professional when I got locked out. But I just can't lock the doors now. I am using the valet key. That's all I got when I bought the car. I will go to a BMW dealer.

OK. Do we need to address the repair issue now or when you have time to be with the car? It is going to take some time and it is new years day today.
