Why is my display showing a burned out bulb, when all of my bulbs seem to be fine?

Some times when I apply the brake pedal, my display shows a brake light message and a burned out bulb message, even though all of my lights are working. Any help would be great.

double check all bulbs including marker lights and the license lights. if all are ok, the module is most likely bad.

Problem solved. The last owner had installed a single filament bulb in a double filament socket. Strangely enough, the bulb was making enough contact to work for both the tail light and the brake light. Thanks for your replies.
