2000 Acura RL. Interested in replacing the struts myself. Front upper mounting bolts are under the hood. How do I access the rear upper mounting bolts? Any other sticking points I should be aware of before trying?

Removing the rear seats would allow access to the struts.

For front struts they are rather straightforward but for the rear you would have to manouvere the strut to get them pass the linkages and arms.

Nothing special except to be careful not to stretch the sensor wires.
