Fan not hooked up

I just bought this car. There are 2 fans. One comes on and stays on when I start the car the other one is on the drivers side and it is not hooked up. That one must be hooked up direct. Are both of them suppose to work? I wonder why the other one is not hooked up.

Hello,

One of the fans is used for engine cooling under normal conditions and the second fan comes on when the air conditioning is on. In the diagrams down below I have included a detailed description of how the engine cooling fans work in your vehicle. Please go through this guide and look for the non working fans electrical connector and plug it in. Get back to us with what you find out, please.
