Two doors will not open from the outside?

Before I take things apart, have you seen this issue as being common in these cars? driver front and rear doors won't open from outside, only can open from inside.

I have not seen this problem as common. I would remove the door panels and see what has broken, which should be the same on both doors. I have seen tow truck personnel use a slim jim which can damage the internal workings of the door so that might be the cause of the problem. It looks like the door handle is cable operated which could have broken or come undone. Check out the images (below).
