DHi, I wonder if anybody can help? I have a 1999 V70 Estate, when I put my foot on the brake without any lights on my brake lights work fine but when the side lights or headlights are on the high level 'bar' brake light dosn't come on and the bulb warning light on the dash does, has anybody got any ideas please.
Thanks,
Alan. Escribe your problem.

I would suspect a bad tail gate harness. The stress from opening and closing the rear hatch will cause the wires to start to split open. Eventually they start to short with one another. Other symptoms to look for is the rear tail gate will not lock or unlock using remote or power lock switch. The rear tail gate harness is replaceable without having to replace the entire cabin harness. Let me know what you find with that harness. It is located on the left side of the hatch hinge. Wiggle it around while someone steps on the brakes.
