Troubleshooting on my OEM and this code came up p1057, and that i have a poor electrical connection, or failed canshft actuator.

I hav a 1988 GMAC Diesel van? I ran out of diesel, but changes the filter? now it want start? do i hav to bleed the line. plus it want start at all now. how do i get it runing again.
