how do i turn off my petrol warning light when my tank is full?

the petrol warning light is coming on even the i filled up the tank.... the petrol gauge is showing that i have a full tank but the petrol warning light is still coming up...... I have tryed fuses in the car and also on the battery but all seem ok.

You need to check if the fuel warning indicator wiring is shorted to ground or the sending unit is faulty.
