Lights and signal not working where should I start looking to fix the problem?

Just put in new starter and lights were working fine till today. But also has been dying on me at stop lights

Check all fuses first. After that, check the multi-function switch.

It is the switch that operates the signals, high and low beam.

Well if the switch is bad, the steering column has to come apart to access it. That means you will be dealing with an air bag. The battery needs to be disconnected for a minimum of 10 minutes prior to removing the steering wheel.
