Temperature warning light is green

When I start the car and remains like that for some time as I drive before it goes off... is it normal .. I checked coolant level is okay but since am new to driving a yaris I do not know how this car behaves.

Hello,

This light means the engine is staying to cold which is caused by a broken cooling system thermostat. Here is a guide to ehlp you see what you are in for when changing the thermostat out.
