My '99 Toyota Tacoma pickup 2WD, over heats while idling, need ideas what to check.

Summer temps outside here are often over 110 degrees.

I have found when the engine temps get high the A.C. stops working I think this is a "safety" feature but it lets me know when I am driving if the temps are getting high.

I have replaced the T-stat, the fan clutch, the water pump, flushed the cooling system and replaced the coolant,

I have also found that if the RPMs while driving get below 2200 for any distance the temp goes up, by increasing the RPM the temps come back in line with normal.

I am trying to get 500,000 + miles on this truck before I let it go.

thank you

You say that you flushed the radiator, I am thinking that you still have a part blocked radiator, take it out and get a radiator shop to remove the top and bottom tanks and do a core clean.
