Brake issue

When I step on the brakes (say, at a red light stop) and release it to hit the gas, I notice the brakes shake/idol(?) just a little bit. What's wrong?? My car is a 99' corolla. Thanks.

Where do you feel this shaking, the brake pedal, seat, steering wheel? When does it go away?
