my engine is reving at 1500rpm and is not responding to any means of reducing the revs.even the accelarator is not responding until you floor it..if you floor it the revs are not surpassing 6 000 rpms

Is the Check Engine Light showing and have you checked for trouble codes?

The codes have been cleared but they pop up again

What codes are you getting?
If codes keep popping up, it means something is wrong

When I start the car from cold the car revs up and down and then after a few minutes it settles at 2000 rpm. I have replaced MAF sensor and I have cleaned idle air control valve and I have checked all vacuum hoses for leaks but it still does this.
