1999 Subaru Outback transmission

I do have a Subaru Outback 1999, I did change the main computer of the car and after I did that my transimission stop working, I never programmed the new computer, do you think that could be the problem that the computer have to be programmed?

No, The transmission controls need not be programmed.
Is the PCM correct for your vehicle?
Did you try checking for trouble codes?
What is the problem with the transmission now?

The transmission after I changed the Ecm unit is not taking any gear I do think is the computer will need the program

Yes , I never change Tcm so still having the old one, I did change the ECM and after I change it my trnasmission stop getting gears; Is that a matter of problem?

Yes is the correct,but listen I bought and just put it on; I did never program the new ECM I just got it and install it in the car, Do you think it will need to get program it first? The car started normally, but transmission stop working

I already said not necessary and what is the problem with the transmission now? It stopped working, what are the symptoms?

Not taking any gear Not foward no reverse

Did you check for trouble codes?
Was transmission running prior to ECM change? What was wrong with the previous ECM?
Recheck the ECM wire connectors, link to TCM connection could be unsecured.
