1999 Subaru Legacy overheating

Put in new radiator,thermostat,cap, and hoses. Car is still getting hot. Could the temp gage be malfunctiioning? When idling the gage stays normal. As soon as you drive it goes to hot. I saw it move really quick once. Almost like something is not right with the gage.

Check that the loom for the temp sender is not bared and touching earth, this will case the gauge to act erratically.

verify the electric cooling fans are comming on....
