Engine floods every time u start it cold or hot. It also dies when u try to accelerate or put it in any gear unless u clear it out like a flooded carburetor

Sounds like a bad coolant temp sensor really common on those cars.Also inspect the inside of the connector if the terminals are green or blue instead of silver you will need a connector also.
