I turn them off while in the off position for about 2-3 min. They will stop on their on. Whats the problem?

Problem started about 2 months ago. When I turn my wipers on(intermitting or regular)they continue to stay on even after turning the switch off. Sometimes when I turn the ignition switch off (while wipers are down near bottom of windshield)and turn ignition switch back on they stop.

Other times they will keep running for 20 seconds-to 3 minuets and stop on their own. Will the problem be the switch or the motor?

Don't want to do much "testing" Let me know what it is and how to repair it, or have someone with more skills than me do it.

Thanks

AJ

Just to add to this one most likely its a bad logic board on the wiper motor. Thats what I have usually seen happen. You would have to do some testing. Unless you wanted to just take a chance and replace the wiper motor.
