i have a 1999 saturn sl1 the tranny bangs into gear when it shifts gears and the fluid doesnt smell burnt and i have replaced the moter mount and the tranny mount they were both broke but it still does it and the tranny doesnt slip or anything

So do you have any code's?If it's shifting hard into all the gears then your line pressure is too high.

nope no codes the engin light dont come on and i know it works it has come on b4 4 other things

nope i dont im not really a mechanic i just do most of my own work to my car im just getting broke fast trying to fix things i replaced the mounts and they were both broke and its idleing at 1100 when i start it its and automatic tranny but its getting costly my buddie works at nappa and he said that the moter strut could be causeing it and it has 3 parts that look like that but i dont want to end up replaceing things and have it keep clunking into gear

So you replaced which mounts?The lower square looking transmission one?And the upper engine one by the valve cover?Most of the time when you have a hard shift on that car its a bad line pressure solenoid or a bad pressure regulator.
