1999 Saturn SC2 transmission won't shift in drive.

My 1999 Saturn SC2 with automatic transmission won't shift in drive. If I put it in 3 it shifts and when I get going faster I can put in D. Once it gets warm it shifts in D. Any idea what causes this?

Do you have any codes in the computer?Also do you have a delay bang into reverese?

No delay into reverse. Haven't had the computer scanned for codes but their are no warning lights on. Transmission seems to run fine, just won't shift in drive.

Something is going on if it won't shift in drive have it scanned for codes let me know I you have any and which ones.
