Can a Renault Laguna Hatchback rear Axle fit a Renault Laguna Estate?

Hi I have a renault Laguna Estate 1999 1.6, my rear axle as gone, I can't get one anywhere. Can I get one off a Renault Laguna Hatchback car? Will it fit if its the same year and a 1.6? Thanks .

what is wrong with the axle?? can you at least use the guts from the donor??
