what would cause the car not to start and the security light is on and starts blinking ?

It is like dead when you try to turn on the ignition, all the lights come on and the ignition wil not turn on, its like the computer has shut down and not reading the chip in the key

There is a problem in the security system. Make sure all the security system fuses are in good condition.

If the security light is on, there is shutting the system down.

okay can you tell us how to or is there anyway to bypass the security system to get the car started so we can drive it to the shop without having it towed or if there is a way will it damage the computer, thanks for your advice.

I have posted to your other question. The entire system cannot be bypassed but the key sensor only can.

Turn the key to the run position and allow it to sit for aprox 10 minutes. The security light should go out and the car should start.

Wrenchtech is correct, I believe. You can try removing the fuse for the security system, but I doubt that will work.
