Why want my car start?

I brought this 99 sunfire a week ago and drove it home I got it off my brother he put a key switch in it. But it wouldnt work so he put a push buttom on and now it want start and the dash lights want come on. Can you please help? Thanks

Did you check and make sure the battery was good the battery cables were clean and tight and all the fuses and fuseable links were good?Also did he replaced the ignition switch or ignition cylinder?Were the dash lights working when it was repalced?

Yes is was working and then it just stop and I just went and put a new ignition switch on it today but it still didnt do anything.

Do you have a mulimeter or test light to do some testing?
