Parking brake cable too tight. Please help

99 sunfire, I replaced all the park brake cables and the all the rear brakes, shoes, drums, hardware everything.
The driver side brake is tight I can not get the drum on, the adjuster is backed off all the way. I've been trying to figure this out for the last couple weeks please help

Can you post a photo of the brake? Be sure the star wheel assembly is attached to the webbing of the shoes, not the same piece of steel the linings are riveted or glued to. Both shoes must contact the large anchor pin at the top of the backing plate, and you should be able to push the parking brake strut bar forward against the anti-rattle spring pressure at least 1/8". If you can't, the parking brake cable is adjusted too tightly. Try disconnecting one parking brake rear cable, then see if the drum will fit.
