My 1999 Grand Prix 3100 continues to blow the fuse related to the brake lamps. I disconnected the brake lamp switch, took it apart, and it seems to all be working fine. I tested each individual wire from the wiring harnesses and no fuse tripped. I put them back in, depressed the brake and the fuse blew again. Any suggestions?

Your looking at a power wire shorted to ground I think you are looking in the wrong place looking at the switch. Do you have a multimeter we could try to narrow it down with that.

I don't have a multimeter. Would a test light help at all?

Let me know a test light would work but would be a lot harder to use because you would have to hook one end to power to test for a short to ground. Let me know when you get the meter.
