1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 3 8 Liter Stuck Second Gear Replaced Both Shift

my 3.8 liter grand prix is stuck in second gear. i have replaced both shift solinoids and removed the valve body and cleaned all the valves. it still wont shift out of second gear. what else could cause this problem?

Usually they default to 2nd when there is a transmission issue to protect the transmission.What codes do you have iun the computer?The actual numbers?

scanned it when the problem first started. the scan said solinoid B was stuck off. replaced both solinoids and have not scanned it again. i guess i should scan it again?

Also when you drain the fluid what color was it? Also was there any metal debris in the transmission pan etc?Also please scan it for codes.
