Cooling fan operation 1999 Pontiac Grand Am V6 3.4 L engine. I would like to know how are the radiator cooling fans supposed to work. What temp are the supposed to come on and what speed (low, high) etc. Any Info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When the engine reaches a certain temp (based on the temp sensor), the sensor send a signal to the PCM which sends power to the fan relay. THe relay then powers the motor.
