"the brain"power module on my 99 plymouth grand voyager se. 3.3 liter gas eng. V-6 - part# p0427246ad has died. I need another on but dont want to pay hundreds of $$$ for one. Help! If I get a used on will I need to have it regrogramed for my vin#"

You can get a used one. However, it has to have the same exact part number. If you get a different one, it won't work. As far as reprograming, it shouldn't need it. Just make sure the battery is disconnected until you have the new one installed and plugged in. Then you can reconnect power.

The problem is that change will no turn on several sensor, coli, computer, and still problem that I can do thanks

No start condition
with key on you should have check engine light on if not check fuses and wiring and ignition switch
if light on, light should go out when engine is cranking if not suspect, check and replace crank position sensor

check for spark, check for fuel and fuel pressure, not sure how to do your checks

Van will not start. All instruments come on but when tester is connected to pcm. It will not link. This used to be intimate problem. When van worked no codes showed on my reader. Took to dealer when it was working. They said replace fuel pump, starter, alternator because they couldn't find problem. Now that it is not working they want another $150 just to check it. Is there a way to see if the pcm is working?

Check fuses (cigarette lighter fuse)
cycle ignition key on off three times ending with key on read codes in the odometer area

As to my previous question the computer came from the manufacture ready to install. I used a different and it started the van but keep missing the van has been sitting for over a year should I change the gas?

Year old gas might cause starting problems but typically, if the engine starts, it should still run okay. Run that gas out then put fresh fuel in. If the misfire continues, search for a different cause.

I just installed a new computerin my 96 plymouth voyager it wants to start but feels like it is not getting enought gas. Can you help?

You need to get it programmed. The theft deterrent is likely locking you out. I don't know why you changed it in the first place but you still may have another problem that the computer didn't fix also.

Hi guys. Let me butt in and add a tidbit. If your van has the factory anti-theft system, use the key to turn the lock cylinder in the lift gate. That will program the Engine and / or Body Computer to work with the anti-theft system and allow the engine to run. If your van doesn't have the factory anti-theft system and you installed a used Engine Computer with that programming, it can't be "unprogrammed". You have to use a computer from another van that did not have anti-theft programming.

When it's in theft mode, the engine will typically run for just two seconds, then stall.

Engine does not have power in the coil pack, we replaced the coil pack and the crank sensor and cam sensor, how can we test the ecm unit

You need to use a multimetre to test that you are getting a voltage coming down the wires from ECM to the coil pack. I do not have the wiring diagram at this moment I am looking into this? Will also check what voltage should be coming down the wires? In the meantime just check that you are actually getting an electronic pulse down the wire
