Sometimes the heat works and sometimes it doesn't. On very very cold days when i need it most it wont work. Sometimes it will just randomly cut in. I would like to know if i could get some advice on what possibly could be wrong and also roughly how much this will cost.

We don't get involved with costs here because there's way too many variables. In this case we don't even know what it's doing. Does the fan fail to run? Does the fan work on all speeds but it only blows cold air? Is the air only blowing from the defroster and won't switch to the other outlets? Are the yellow lights in the switches flashing?
