Have a faulty idle control valve, engine cuts out sometimes at junctions or roundabouts, have bought a replacement, fitted it, engine runs at 3000rpm on idle! Took that back out and put old one back in, engine runs at asround 750rpm(normal), do I need to get the ecu reset or recalibrated for the new valve? I have a T reg 1.4lx 206 petrol

No ecu is needed. Why do you believe it is a faulty idle air control valve?
