1999 Peugeot 206 brakes

bought new pads by registration,fit straight in without anti ratlle pins but when they are on I cant get them in,the old pads had pins on?is there a knack to this?

The brake pads are different thicknesses. Those without clips are .3mm thicker. You need to order the same type of pad that was on the car originally. Usually we need to know the engine size to look up the right optional parts.
