I have a 1999 yz250 2 stroke dirtbike that wont turn over all the way. It seems to be catching something in the cylinder. I was wondering if you had any idea what it would be. You go to kick it over and the piston only moves a little and stops. Hope you can help. Thanks, Alex.

Alex,
Normally, we only deal with cars, but I will try to help. If the engine won't turn, it sounds locked up. You need to remove the cylinder head and the cylinder to see what is going on. You could have a broken piston.

Thanks for the fast reply. That was what I was thinking. When you kick it over it moves just slightly and then catches something. Hopefully the cylinder isn't damaged. It'll be a pricey fix. But thanks again. I'll let you know how it goes.
