Opel vita automatic transmition S in dashboard Bliking.It fairs in D driver but works in R, 1,2 and 3

I have opel vita 1999,with automatic gearbox there is S in dashboard blikind and whenever you put in D(Drive mode) it moves very slow without power.But in manual 1,2,and 3 works well
In R(reverse mode) it can move well.Plse Helppppp

Check transmission fluid level and condition. It should be red, with no brown to it. Smell the fluid. It should not smell burned.
