1999 Opel Rekord Reason Speedometer Rpm Counter Work There Lights On That

What can be the reason for the speedometer and RPM counter not to work?
There are no lights on.

That seems to be the only thing not working (for now)

Could you please advise?

check fuses underhood and under dash first. it may be a speed sensor for speddo not working. we have no info so can't give anything else.
