Why is my tire smoking

When I am driving, particularly on the freeway and reach a certain speed, my car begins shaking. Afterwards, It smells like something apart of my car is burning. it smells like burning rubber. After driving it for a while, and coming to a stop, there is smoke coming from my tire.
